The effort today was way beyond the call of duty, well done Trish Guildford,Ian Howlett,Michael Geen, and Dave Maw. They completely dug out the remaining dirt from Gun Emplacement No 4 down to the original ground level. Large lumps of granite were too heavy to lift into position. We now have 3 Gun Emplacements and 4 Shell Recesses uncovered to their original ground levels. The next emplacement, No 5, is the one we were waiting for, hopefully we will find the top step of the other set of steps..
