Today we made a start on the gun emplacement, starting over on the east side of the Fort on Gun Emplacement No 5.

Unfortunately there was only two of us down there, so it was hard work, however I think we made some good progress.

Our first objective is to locate the eastern steps which lead from the parade ground upto gun emplacement no. 5.   Starting from the top of the stairs, seemed to be the better option.

This is a very exciting time in the project and we want our volunteers to come forward and help out, make the most of the beautiful west beach and be involved in this fantastic part of the project.  Contact Andy to book your place on the working party (andy@littlehamptonfort.co.uk).
